The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) currently advise against all but essential travel to Iran, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar and the UAE. They also advise against all travel to Israel.
We know many customers are dealing with cancellation and changing travel advice. It’s important to check the latest guidance for your travel destination on the foreign travel advice page on GOV.UK Link opens in a new window.
What if I’m already in an affected country?
Follow the advice of local authorities, and make your presence known to the relevant government services where instructed. For the latest guidance on what you should do, read the foreign travel advice updates on GOV.UK Link opens in a new window.
My travel plans have been disrupted
You should contact your airline or travel provider. They’re responsible for helping you with refunds, rebooking or finding alternative arrangements.
If they’re unable to help, you could raise a dispute claim. You can do this for a product or service purchased on your Virgin Money credit card. The cost must be over £100, but not more than £30,000. Make a dispute claim.
